Unicoi Call Makers Show 2023

The Unicoi Call Makers Group headed by Mark Sharpe and Russell Beard has established a show for custom turkey call makers and it's held each year near the town of Helen, GA at the Unicoi State Park.  The Unicoi Call Makers Show features many of the best custom call makers in the country for two day in mid January. This year was my first time to attend the show as a new call maker and as a group member. If you love turkey hunting and seeing new custom calls designed by craftsmen for the turkey hunter, then you will love this show.  The show is open to the public on Friday and Saturday 9-5.  The show usually has a few scheduled seminar speakers and this year we heard from Steve Turpin of Turpin Custom Game Calls with an interesting history of the oldest turkey call company and how they started.  Mark Prudhomme gave good strategies on hunting turkeys and pointers on running two of his favorite calls, the tube and trumpet.  Below are a few videos from Mark's seminar:

2024 Unicoi Callmakers Show

The Unicoi Callmakers Show in Helen, Georgia has many of the best turkey callmakers in the country.  It is usually scheduled around the second weekend in January, and it is open to the public for a Friday and Saturday.  You can see and buy your favorite turkey calls hand made by some of the best craftsmen in the country. Also, you will see displays of rare calls, special crafted calls, leatherworks, custom tote bags, book authors and more.  Several seminars are scheduled to educate and inform about turkey hunting and callmaking techniques. Below is a seminar I attended featuring Harold Knight and Mark Prudhomme.  It's a long seminar, so I broke it up into smaller segments.

The 2024 Unicoi Callmakers Show had many of the best turkey call makers in the country showing and selling their custom made calls. One of the great seminars lined up at the show had Harold Knight and Mark Prudhomme sharing their experiences turkey hunting and using different calls. This is the introduction segment.
